Texture/Material - Soft Textured 100% Pure Muga Tussar Silk Dupatta with all over small woven hand painted with natural dyes butti and border. Natural dyes are dyes or colorants derived from plants, invertebrates, or minerals. The majority of natural dyes are vegetable dyes from plant sources such as roots, berries, bark, leaves, and wood and other biological sources such as fungi and lichens.
Muga Silk is known for its durability natural yellowish-golden tint and shimmering glossy texture. It was previously reserved for the use of royalty. Muga silk can be dyed.Muga Silk originated in Assam. Materials used Silk yarn from the Antheraea Assamensis silkworm and embroidery threads. One of the major highlights of Muga Silk is its longevity. It is said that generally, a Muga Silk fabric outlives the wearer. This dupatta is woven with pure Muga and Tussar Silk threads.Tussar Silk, also known by its Sanskrit name Kosa silk, is produced from Tusser silkworms. Tussar is valued for its texture and natural gold colour, which is unusually rich and deep. The Dupatta is weaved by having muga silk in the wrap and tussar silk in the weft.
