This fabric, is a blend of pure chanderi silk and cotton threads. This fabric has a voluminous texture. Transparency or sheer texture is a unique feature of chanderi fabrics. The transparency is due to the single flature quality of yarn. The fabric borrowed its name from the small town Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh where traditional weavers practice the art of producing textured sarees in cotton and silk decorated with fine zari work. 

The weft of this fabric is chanderi cotton, and the wrap contains chanderi silk. The composition of this fabric is beautiful soft and flowy drapes amazingly well as a saree, however these can also be used for kurtis for women, Kurtas for men, blouses, shirts, dresses, duppattas, stoles etc.
