Technique: Hand-Woven Completely hand woven in mercerised cotton and gold colored threads, this Paithani dupatta hails from Paithan and Yeola in Aurangabad District, Maharashtra. An ancient industry of gold and silver coloured threaded embroidery with motifs inspired from the Ajanta Caves.

Paithani sarees and dupattas are precious heirlooms, which can be passed on from generation to generation. The special dhoop-chaav (light and shade) effect is achieved by bringing two different coloured silk threads together.
