Style - Traditional Belt Border, with The Ajanta Lotus, Kamal Pushpa motif that bears a close resemblance to the murals of Ajanta Caves, along with Asawali i.e. woven motifs of wine flowers, which was a very popular motif design during the Peshwa period, completely handwoven mercerised cotton saree. Great love for nature and flowers brought many symbolic designs to this textile adding another dimension to Paithani in appearance. This Saree is a deep blue colored woven saree.
Pallu Details - Heavier Pallu/Paddar, with more intricate Asawalli weaved motifs, enhancing the look. In this Saree woven jari butties are present all over the Saree.

Completely hand woven in mercerised and gold coloured threads, this Paithani Saree hails from Paithan and Yeola in Aurangabad District, Maharashtra. An ancient industry of gold and silver threaded embroidery with motifs inspired from the Ajanta Caves. Paithani sarees are precious heirlooms, which can be passed on from generation to generation.
